Sculpted over 2000 years ago, this sculpture turned up in a bin bag and was called in by a member of the public. It's nearly 80cm tall, so doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would accidentally fall into the household recycling. 

So was it 'found' or was it intentionally thrown out? Authorities reportedly detained someone for questioning and they were released shortly after without facing charges. For now, the statue is being inspected before being transferred to the local antiquity staff for preservation.
