I was rather taken with this chair – a super way to present sound to visitors, intimately whispering in their ears, rather than blasting out all over the place. This is a library, after all.

And I also think it was clever to upholster it in material showing exactly where we are in Salford. It helps to root visitors in the location, and the sounds help to engage more than just the visual sense.
