‘How much noise can you make with Annie’s pram?’ visitors are asked as they enter the museum. The infamous fishwife used to sell ware from her pram, making as much noise as she could to get rid of her seafood, before it went off. And so the museum now invites you to try it out for yourself by honking the horns and shaking the pram – while also playing with the cute stuffed fish.
Though beware:
Fish Annie sells fish
Thre Ha’penny a dish
Don’t buy, Don’t but it
It stinks when you fry it
This was installed as part of a playful reinterpretation of the museum’s entrance, which I worked on as interpretation consultant alongside the museum team and designers at Lima Studio.
