Images of the fictional village of Llareggub (read it backwards) are usually only ever summoned up in the mind, when hearing a performance or recording of Dylan Thomas's play for voices, 'Under Milk Wood'.
This imagined view of Laugharne contains references to the play, as well as a depiction of the poet's gravestone in Laugharne. Ray Howard-Jones is better known for their seascapes and wildlife paintings of the island of Skomer and the Pembrokeshire coast, but this evocation of a patchwork sort of a place is really quite fitting for the play.
