Bits of pot, broken corners off things, fragments of material. It’s a reminder to us that museum collections are not all glamorous and shiny – and it’s by investigating and interpreting these special little gems in collections that we build up a bigger picture of a museum’s theme. By looking again at these objects, beautiful or ugly, we learn more and more and more.
